Nowhere Is Home (disc one) sees recent BAFTA award winner Kieran Evans reunite with his friend Paul Kelly for the first time since they co-directed the critically acclaimed film Finisterre ten years ago.
Shot over the final nights Dexys celebrated residency at the Duke Of York's Theatre in London last Spring, Nowhere Is Home captures songs from those theatrical shows with a striking visual style and a real sensitivity to the performances onstage.
Interspersed throughout the film is an honest, revealing and touching interview with Kevin Rowland and Jim Paterson that details the remarkable story of the band. The film frames the motivation and desire that oversaw the artistic triumph of the bands recent album 'One Day I'm Going To Soar' and the live performances that subsequently developed from it's narrative.
Dexys - Live At The Duke Of Yorks Theatre (disc two) features the complete uninterrupted live performance including all 20 songs performed each night during the bands residency at the Duke Of Yorks.
This set comes with an illustrated 8 page booklet with specially commission sleeve notes by Tim Chipping.
Note - this is a PAL format, region 0 disc.
It may not play on some NTSC DVD machines but should play in all computers.
